1968 Lotus Elan
This attractive looking car has only had three owners one of them owning the car for 48 years. The car has had an interesting life being used in its early days as an undercover CID police car in central London.
Over the last few years it has been in storage. We have lightly recommissioned the car, it now runs and drives really well. Wheels have been blasted and powder coated.
Mechanically it’s in good shape, replacement Lotus chassis a number of years ago which is still in great condition.
Bodywork presents very well. But on closer inspection it does have some issues including micro blisters in places and signs of age. Generally it’s nice but not perfect.
Interior is in good condition, some age wear but overall it’s in good usable condition.
Soft top hood is in good condition plus comes with tonneau cover.
Interesting history file with letter from previous owner telling of the car’s fascinating past.
